Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ star tight end, totally had a proud boyfriend moment over his girl, Taylor Swift, and her recent appearance at Gillette Stadium. He opened up during his podcast “New Heights,” and couldn’t help but rave about his superstar girlfriend’s impact during the Chiefs vs. Patriots game, which took place on December 17.
Now, we all know the NFL seems to be a legit Swiftie, showing the “Shake It Off” hitmaker in most Chiefs games she attends, and that one game on December 17 wasn’t the exception. Travis recalled this moment when his girl, decked out in Chiefs gear, popped up on the big screen. The result? The crowd went absolutely wild!
Event Patriots fans were loving Taylor, when she was actually there for the opposing team. And of course, Tay-Tay, always the supportive GF, was there rooting for Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs, who clinched the game 27-17 against the New England Patriots. And guess what? Patriots fans didn’t even care, as long as the “Style” pop queen was there, gracing the screens. Don’t believe us? Believe Travis, then:
“They showed Taylor at the game — you don’t see an entire home team fanbase go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors.”
Yes, sure some folks were booing every Taylor appearance, but as Travis said, it was mostly just a few “Brads and Chads” that needed to simply be ignored. This is a vision the NFL superstar shares with the pop diva, as Taylor told TIME Magazine said she didn’t care about potentially irking a few dads in the crowd for being shown on screen during the games she attended, and Travis totally agrees!
