BTS’ Jungkook had such a great year in music with his highly-anticipated debut album, “Golden,” which was released on November 3. The idol shared his joy with the world with his three singles that undeniably became global phenomenons in a matter of days, Jungkook’s efforts paid off and his album’s sales prove it.
On December 19, Billboard was pleased to announce that the Golden Maknae’s debut album successfully remained in the top 50 of the Billboard 200 for a sixth consecutive week. For the week ending on December 23, “GOLDEN” remained at No. 41.
This amazing feat gave Jungkook a new record in the American market, as he became the first Korean artist ever to spend six weeks inside the top 50 of the Billboard 200. In addition, he became the only Kpop soloist in history to chart for 18 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he landed in the No. 30 spot.
Undeniably, BTS’ Jungkook has successfully dominated the American market with his entirely English album. Despite the idol enlisted in the military, his music agency is set to release a couple more surprises from the album, as they did it with the latest “Standing Next to You” remix performance video along with Usher.
