With the actors’ strike, little is known about the fate of many series and movies, since it seems that negotiations have come to nothing and neither side knows for sure what will happen for both to reach a good state. Let’s remember that it has been more than 4 months and with that, a total pause to everything that happens in Hollywood.
If there are no actors acting in movies, there are no things to produce and much less to sell, so the studios have decided that if the strike does not reach a quick conclusion, many projects will be paused or even canceled and this undoubtedly upset the entire audience that is waiting to see certain projects on the big screen.
HBO announces dates for the new seasons of its most awaited series
HBO has revealed the estimated premiere dates and start of filming for The Last of Us, Euphoria and House of the Dragon, according to Variety and Deadline. Indicating that these seasons are going to happen, one example is House of the Dragon, which, its actors, are not part of the union that is now on strike and it is possible that they will continue to work.
In spite of everything that has happened, Hbo has faced up to the situation and has already given release dates for several projects, demonstrating that they are more prepared than other studios to face all the problems that may be coming.
According to Variety, the second season of the series based on the video game The Last of Us will begin filming in early 2024 and will premiere in early 2025. In contrast to Euphoria, the hit series for young people will have a new season until 2025, while House of the Dragon will arrive an HBO Max during the summer of 2024, specifically early in the season.
What do you think about it? Are you looking forward to any of the productions Hbo has announced?
