Casey Bloys, president and chief executive officer of HBO Max content, confirmed that the ‘Harry Potter‘ series already has a streaming release date: “We are delighted to give the audience the opportunity to discover Hogwarts from a completely new perspective“.
Genuinely advancing some important details of the production, like “This new Max Original series will expand every part of the books that fans have been enjoying for all these years“, ensuring the audience a full season for each of the books.
The new adaptation of ‘Harry Potter’ was also presented as ‘a series of decades’, leaving us to know that the intention in this production is to tell a very complete story full of details over a minimum of 10 years, which seems to be satisfactory for all lovers of the saga.
Although the original story leaves fans with emblematic characters of the franchise, it is possible that they only appear in cameos, as the intention is to show a renewed story compared to the previously seen, so that this new production would have a different cast and additional characters.
The author of the ‘Harry Potter’ books, J. K. Rowling, will be the executive producer of this great project and expression. “I’m looking forward to being part of this new adaptation that will allow a level of depth and detail that only a long-format television series offers“.

The announcement was made during the official presentation of the union between HBO Max and Discovery+ on a new service called Max, where it was revealed that the estimated date for the premiere of what would become Warner’s biggest investment is stipulated between the end of 2025 and early 2026.
