The franchise of Mission: Impossible became part of the popular culture because fans have stated the movies have delivered nothing but quality to the action genre. Fortunately, the fans received the seventh installment titled  Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 on July 12 and they were completely waiting for the outcome of the fascinating movie, but bad news was received.

The 2023 SAG-AFTRA Strike has taken place in Hollywood for more than four months now, and has halted numerous productions that were scheduled to be released during this or the next year. One of the most anticipated movies was Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2, which was set to be premiered on June 28, 2024. However, things are not looking good for the eighth installment of the franchise.

After Hollywood studios and the SAG-AFTRA union hadn’t reached any agreement, Paramount announced the movie release was delayed until May 23, 2025, and the fans showed their outrage. The discontent from the fans relies on them wanting to watch the outcome of the first part, because they were completely intrigued and expected the second part of the movie was going to be released the next year.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2 is set to pick up the plot from Part 1, which promises to keep the audience entertained because of the amazing and incredible action scenes portrayed by Tom Cruise. Definitely, this news is a low blow to the fans of the franchise who have to wait almost two years to watch their new movie from their favorite franchise. Others stated this delay would help the franchise and create more hype when it finally releases.
