Hold up! Christopher Nolan and Taylor Swift in the same sentence? That’s right, pop fam! The legendary director is totally here for pop queen, Taylor Swift, and he could not hide how much he vibes with the moves the “Blank Space” singer is making. Wonder how hot the tea is? Oh boy, it’s BURNING hot and here it comes:
So, Mr. Dark Knight himself, known for directing, writing, and producing hits like: “Memento,” “Batman,” “Inception, “Interstellar,” and most recently the box-office beast, “Oppenheimer,” spilled some major tea! He’s giving all those claps to Tay-Tay. The reason? Her boss move to bring the colossal “Eras Tour” into movie theaters – as you probably know right now, Taylor slayed both concert and cinema tickets. Talk about a game-changer!
Chris complimented Taylor on how smart she was to not let studios distribute her work: “Taylor Swift is about to show the studios because her concert film is not being distributed by the studios, it’s being distributed by a theater owner, AMC, and it’s going to make an enormous amount of money.” And he was totally right, “The Eras Tour” is the highest-grossing film in North America as of now, surpassing pop king Justin Bieber and his “Never Say Never” movie from 2011.
The director kept spilling facts and said:
“And this is the thing, this is a format, this is a way of seeing things and sharing stories, or sharing experiences, that’s incredibly valuable. And if they don’t want it, somebody else will. So that’s just the truth of it.”
With this, Tay can add another fan of hers to the list. You read that right, it’s not the first time a director gave roses to our pop queen. Recently, Shawn Levy (Deadpool’s director) said she was a “generational voice and creative force.” Then he proceeded to compare Tay to the likes of Steven Spielberg and Beyoncé – and rightfully so, she’s the head of every project she makes!
Christopher Nolan praises Taylor Swift’s concert-film:
