Throughout Disney‘s production history, this franchise has released stories that have caused many emotions in its viewers, whose memories remain to this day, including the death of Bambi’s mother, a scene that marked everyone.
Currently, with the popularity of live-action productions, it is expected that a real version of ‘Bambi‘ will arrive soon, however, some statements indicate that this will not be totally faithful to the original story because there will be a modification in relation to the tragic outcome of the little deer’s mother.
For her part, Lindsey Anderson Beer, who is one of the people in charge of the script of the long-awaited adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, has given new statements about how this iconic and tragic scene will be carried out.
“I don’t want to spoil the plot, but there is a treatment of the mother’s death that I think some children and some parents today would be more sensitive to than in the past. And I think that’s one of the reasons why they haven’t shown it to their children“, she said.
“What I find curious about Bambi is that being an absolute classic and a beautiful love poem with great artistic skill, there is an entire generation of children who have never seen the movie, unlike ‘The Little Mermaid’ or ‘Aladdin’, which It’s a real shame“, added the screenwriter.
It is expected that a new live action version of this story will be released in 2025 under the direction of the well-known filmmaker Sarah Polley. For its part, the original film is available on the Disney+ streaming platform.
