The idol hasn’t stopped thriving with his music, and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow wasn’t the exception after he broke an astonishing record in the UK’s Official Single Charts.
The Golden Maknae’s prominent career has demonstrated his great influence in the most important music markets, such as South Korean, American, and British markets. This time, he has made K-pop history in the United Kingdom, and his fans, better known as the ARMY, were ready to celebrate it.
The UK’s Official Single Charts are typically regarded as the UK equivalent of Billboard’s U.S. Charts, and it is one of the biggest markets worldwide. The charts announced that Jungkook’s latest single, “3D” debuted at No. 5 on its chart on October 6.
The ARMY was more than pleased to share the news because this marks an important moment in K-pop history overseas. Jungkook has now become the first Korean solo artist in history, and only the second artist overall, following his group, BTS, to debut two songs in the top 5 of the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
Previously, “Seven” entered the chart at No.3 in July, which also broke a record after becoming the highest debut of any song by a Korean soloist. The South Korean artist keeps thriving everywhere, and his reign keeps increasing as he follows the path of success.
