Pop queen Lady Gaga has been in Las Vegas for a long time promoting her “Jazz & Piano.” Now, get this: the set of concerts is a little different from her regular performative shows, as she usually strips back a little bit and goes for a more orchestral kind of vibe.
Recently, she took an occasion in her residency to pay tribute to Sin City, which she has been calling her home for some time now. During her latest gig on Sunday, October 1, the pop star honored the victims of an unfortunate mass shooting that took place on October 1, 2017, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
In spite of the sad coincidence, Gaga sent love to Las Vegas victims and their families with a piano rendition of her iconic bop “Born This Way.” Before she started blessing the public with her heartfelt tribute and emotional vocals, she told her audience:
“I just want to remind everyone here what a resilient wonderful city this is,” she told the crowd at the Park MGM’s Dolby Live theater. It has big hearts and a lot of hope and believing in the future. And I just would like to dedicate this song to everyone we lost.”
The moment was quickly captured by phones in the audience and fans decided to share the video across social media. This beautiful moment was praised by all Gaga stans, also known as Little Monsters, as our diva has always been one to stand up and contribute to causes of this sort!
