With the end of the Hollywood writers’ strike, upcoming productions will be beginning their script development, however there are some that have priority due to how close their release dates are and how successful they are.
The aforementioned writers’ strike came to an end after the union managed to reach an agreement with the Hollywood production companies where they would offer these workers a contract that includes the rights they deserve.
Due to the restart of these activities in the entertainment industry, there will be a lot of backlog work to do for these 148 days of strike, so the production companies have decided to prioritize some productions that must be released next year.
For its part, Variety magazine shared in a recent report in which productions are focused on working with the two large streaming platforms Netflix and MAX as a priority.
Netflix’s main priority is the second season of the successful series focused on the daughter of the Addams Family ‘Wednesday‘, as well as the fifth and final installment of one of the biggest hits of recent years on the platform, the one titled ‘Stranger Things‘.
While MAX will focus on launching the third season of the series ‘The White Lotus‘ as well as the third installment of ‘Euphoria‘, and the second season of ‘The Last of Us‘. In addition, he also confirmed that he will not produce new projects until these are completed next year.
