James Gunn has given sensational movies into the DC universe that have become a global phenomenon, however, numerous fans have stated this universe has had an inconsistent ride in the last couple of years. That’s why James Gunn explains what it is and it is not canon during the next phase of the franchise.
‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ which is set to be premiered on December 20, marks the franchise’s end. The launch of DC Studios under James Gunn and Peter Safran is coming to an end to emerge from the ashes with a completely brand-new Universe, which is called “Gods and Monsters.”
Despite the excitement of the fans because finally are going to give a single meaning to the franchise, they also stated their concern for the several movies and TV shows that are expected to be premiered at a later date. This particular situation created an atmosphere of confusion about what was going to be part of the canon of this new universe.
James Gunn quickly addressed the fan’s concerns by stating that “nothing is canon until Creature Commandos next year,” on Social media, he also explained Creature Comandes is an apéritif and the DC Universe is going to take a deeper dive with Superman: Legacy.
James Gunn has tried to be cautious by not revealing any further information about the upcoming TV and movies from the DC franchise. However, he was clear enough to keep the fans satisfied and waiting for the beginning of this new chapter.
