In recent days, George R.R. Martin, the creator of the successful fantasy saga titled ‘Game Of Thrones‘, has attracted the attention of his followers by filing a lawsuit in order to protect his copyright of his books and their film adaptations with the production company MAX.
The writer behind this successful saga of books and series has met with other renowned authors in order to sue the site Open IA, the artificial intelligence also known as ChatGPT, which has been obtaining data that is protected by Copyright.
According to Deadline, this lawsuit against OpenIA is because this site has taken these protected works as ‘Entertainment Data‘ without consent, causing writers such as George RR Martin, John Grisham and Michael Connelly and 14 others to accuse the artificial intelligence of “systematic rob on a massive scale“.
Among these accusations, one in particular that affects the creator of ‘Game Of Thrones’, is a prequel to this saga written by artificial intelligence titled ‘Dawn of the Direwolves‘, however cases like this there are many since this site can generate thousands of novels based on existing stories, which is illegal.
“It is imperative that we stop this rob in its tracks or we will destroy our incredible literary culture, which fuels many other creative industries in the United States“, said Mary Rasenberger, executive director of the Authors Guild.
