Marvel has come to shock with some game-changing productions to what they were used to. Although they have become notorious due to poor quality in their latest series and movies, causing the box office to fall short of what they had hoped for, there are also some productions that are labeled as gems.
A few months ago ‘Werewolf by Night’ directed by Michael Giacchino came out, being a quite interesting short film that was in black and white format, making Marvel show that they can make different kind of productions.
‘Werewolf by Night’ to be re-released in color in time for Halloween
Gael García Bernal stars in this rather different film from what we are used to, being very well accepted by critics with an 89% critical reception and another 89% audience acceptance.
On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic–a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The re-release of the short film is scheduled to be released in color on October 20 on Disney+.
