Two members of one of Kpop’s most acclaimed and successful groups, BTS’ Jungkook and V joined forces to collaborate in the first solo project of the latter. This recent revelation showcased the beautiful bond and camaraderie between Jungkook and his 27-year-old group mate, who has just released his new album “Layover” today. Thanks to this, their fans (also known as the ARMY) are happy to know that the members of their beloved group are still united in spite of releasing their solo project.
It has been revealed that the pair bonded yet again during the making of V’s solo album “Layover.”The highly anticipated studio album has been finally unveiled today, September 8. The record includes previously released tracks such as “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days.” But that is not all, the official launch of the project came with a supporting single named “Slow Dancing,” which once again showcases how swiftly and beautifully V can give songs a dreamy and chill atmosphere like no other Kpop idol can.
Considering the hype regarding the release of the album, it was inevitable that the ARMY would want to know about the behind-the-scenes regarding the creation of the record. These questions the fan base had were recently answered after V spilled the tea on the You Quiz on the Block variety show. In this program, the 27-year-old stated that Jungkook had a special contribution to his album.
Unfortunately, he also affirmed that while not all members had the chance to check out the tracks of his new project (due to their busy agendas) it was still crucial for him to get Jungkook’s input on the songs. According to what V said, it appears that the feedback was positive and the duo (referred to as ‘Taekook’ by fans) often exchanged their opinions on the tracks and Jungkook even had the chance to vocally direct his band member at some points.
It is clear that the album not only embodies V’s signature touch but also provides some of Jungkook’s essence into the mix. It appears to be that both artistic sensitivities were able to get along to provide fans with a great piece of work they will sure enjoy for the rest of this year.
