Anime has become one of the most popular entertainment genres in the whole world. This Japanese product has people hooked on its stories thanks to its magnetizing plots, unique animations, great voice acting and of course, a category for every sub-genre the viewer might be into.

Even though some people might deem anime as something “childish,” due to most of these Japanese series being aired on children channels, such as Cartoon Network, that does not mean that there is no adult-focused anime series. Currently, a number of anime shows could be cataloged as “psychological horror,” which means that there is a little bit of every genre for every fan out there. This time, we are introducing one of those psychological horror Japanese animated-series that will probably not let you sleep at night!

We are talking about “Another,” an anime that was based on a story originally written by Yukito Ayatsuji in 2009. This show will be making you feel nervous since the very first episode with all the rumors, murders, betrayal and discrimination the main character has to deal with. Some extra facts for you to know: the manga was first released in 2010 and its adaptation as an animated series came years after in 2012. Upon its premiere, the show became one of the most popular anime series and even if you are not into these types of stories, you should give it a chance.

This anime tells the story of a young girl name Misaki, who is a student at the Yoimiya secondary school. The girl was loved by her classmates, who were known as the ones in class 3-3. However, she unfortunately died in a fire inside her classroom. In spite of this, Misaki keeps attending classes and moving forward as if she were alive. With this premiere, the series will probably get you hooked from the very first time you press play.

Another has a total of 12 episodes, and it can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
