Kpop boy group Stray Kids has become the second best-selling act overall so far this year in the United States and the top KPOP act, its representative agency JYP Entertainment reported on September 4th.
The label explained that Stray Kids ranked second only behind Taylor Swift on “chart data,” X’s US music chart analytics account, formerly known as Twitter. “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” the group’s latest release, was the fourth best-selling album in the U.S., after Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” and “Speak Now” and Travis Scott‘s “Utopia.”
The South Korean group has managed to top the “Billboard 200” chart, the American music magazine’s top album chart, three times with their last three albums “Oddinary“, “Maxident” and “★★★★★ (5-STAR)“, achieving a milestone for the 4th generation idols.
In other related news, Stray Kids will hold a performance of “S-Class,” the title song of their latest album, at the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 (VMAs 2023), which will be held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, the United States on September 12th.
After that, the idols will travel to Japan to perform at Kyocera Dome in Osaka and Tokyo Dome in Japan for the first time after their debut. After that, they will give a performance at the “Global Citizen 2023” festival in the United States.
