‘Elemental’ quickly became Pixar’s secret weapon to prove its haters wrong. Despite the rough start that the movie had had, it showed resilience and subsequently met success around the world surpassing, ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Cars’ boxscores.
The movie had to face numerous challenges to overcome Disney’s bad strike in animated films. Many people tried to tear down the whole movie because of the ‘forced’ inclusion of one character who didn’t identify with any gender. In addition, some others targeted the movie because it didn’t follow Disney’s formula and they stated the movie was going to be a whole failure.
Disney’s ‘Elemental’ proved itself resilient and remained stable at boxscore for several weeks. This particular fact increased the movie’s success and proved the haters wrong. ‘Elemental’ is close to surpassing the 500 million dollar milestone and beating ‘Toy Story’ ($394.4 million) and ‘Cars’ ($462 million)
‘Elemental’s disappointing weekend box score wasn’t enough to halt the production to meet success worldwide. In the next couple of weeks, the movie is going to be premiered on Disney+ and it is expected to have a warm welcome from thousands of fans who enjoyed the movie.
