Stephen King has been recognized as one of the best horror novelists in the world because of the amazing and terrific books he has written. Despite the fact that he is used to interacting with horror “material”, he revealed he suffered nightmares from one horror movie.
These shocking revelations from Stephen himself caused astonishment to his fans, who were almost sure that nothing could scare him. The movie that has given the writer nightmares was the 1980s horror movie, ‘The Changeling’ directed by Stanley Kubrick and starred by George C. Scott and Trush Van Devere.
“For supernatural horror, I like Peter Medak’s film The Changeling, starring George C. Scott in perhaps his last great screen role. There are no monsters bursting from chests; just a child’s ball bouncing down a flight of stairs was enough to scare the daylights out of me.”
This terrific film tells the story of John Russell, a composer and music teacher who loses his daughter and wife in an accident. He started a new life in a mansion which is infested with spirits. This was enough for Stephen King to feel terrified and gave him nightmares.
