Disney animation and special effects studio to close indefinitely
Disney would be going through an extremely dark moment in his career, since all the products that would be offering would not be to the liking of the public, making in reflection of money, does not meet the expectations they would like and now, it is known that the Disney animation studio and special effects will stop operation.
Unfortunately, each of the products that Disney has released lately would not have the reception they expect, as they seek to give the public forced productions that do not connect with the world of sensations that are being sought now, that, without taking into account the strikes that are being experienced in Hollywood. Definitely, the film industry is going through a complicated moment.
This is the animation and visual effects studio ‘Lucasfilm’, which was created in the 2000s by Industrial Light & Magic, and in turn founded by the famous George Lucas, responsible for the successful Star Wars franchise.
According to Disney’s announcement, during the next few months ILM will officialize its global signature, and for this reason will close indefinitely the large studio located in Singapore, due to several factors, mainly economic.
Although the organization did not specify the number of people who will lose their jobs, local media stipulated that there could be more than 500. The country’s media development authority, together with the economic development organization, issued a statement explaining the reason for Lucasfilm’s decision.
“The organization’s closure of operations in Singapore is due to changes within the industry, business conditions that constantly affect the economy and complications from rapid technological advances involving talent and profitability.”
