‘Squid Game‘, a Korean series that undoubtedly became very popular since at the time of its premiere it was something totally different from what we commonly found in the Netflix catalog, which is why it became one of the most popular series of the decade
Certainly the series had a very fascinating development and closure, however, the director and creator of “Squid Game”, Hwang Dong-hyuk, expressed his intention to give it another ending, which would be more beneficial for the main character of the series, but they preferred to opt for a final that would allow them to give a better outcome in future chapters.
“We were torn between two different scenarios for the ending”, Dong-hyuk commented.
The alternative ending of ‘Squid Game’ would undoubtedly have changed the direction of the series, since Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) would be having a happier ending, taking a plane to Los Angeles, United States, radically changing the end and leaving a feeling of victory.
The ending we received was gratifying, since it gave us the perspective that the next season, which is in the process of production, will be much more intense and everything indicates that our main character could finally have the possibility of doing something that the public really wanted; revenge.
The second season of ‘Squid Game’, despite not having a definitive release date, several media outlets affirm that it could be available by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024 through the Netflix streaming platform, and its main theme would be revenge.
