The Game of Thrones phenomenon quickly dominated the world, causing thousands of people to gather every Sunday with the intention of continuing the story based on George R. Martin’s books, unfortunately, the last seasons of the series did not meet the expectations previously held for the first seasons. Conleth Hill expressed his dissatisfaction with the last seasons of Game of Thrones.
Although the books were a great commercial success, it was the HBO series that completely enamored an entire international audience, causing everyone, including Conleth Hill, to express her dissatisfaction with the progress of each of the last seasons.
Conleth Hill, who played Lord Varys in Game of Thrones revealed to Entertaiment Weekly that he was very sad because in the end of the series he would have liked a face to face with Aidan Gillen, who played the treacherous Littlefinger. This because they were both expert plotters who only advocated for his good. “I was completely annoyed that I didn’t have a final scene with him. Not even having a scene reacting to his death was not pleasant for me, because he was my Nemesis,” added the actor.
With these revelations Conleth Hill also joined the millions of fans who did not agree with the realization of the last season, the actor commented that “maybe the working group wanted to do one thing to end the series, however, HBO wanted to do another, so the last season was a bit rushed, and I think everyone could have done the job better”.
