BTS‘ most loyal fans known as the ARMY recently erupted with criticism towards the producers of Jungkook‘s song ‘SEVEN‘ for racist and offensive comments they have made towards the singer after working with him.
The boyband’s fans claim that they are taking advantage of the song’s success and have been making merit towards them alone, leaving the artist aside.
The solo song ‘SEVEN’, was the first song released by the singer as part of his personal project away from the work he was doing with his six bandmates, so that until today it has been a total success worldwide. For this fact, Forbes magazine recently launched an interview with Andrew Watt and Cirkut, two of the producers of this song.
Although key and good points were expressed in the interview, others were not so good, such as one of the producers referring to Jungkook’s fans as rabid, which is considered a false stereotype: “The fan base is absolutely rabid“, Cirkut said.
The other producer Watt expressed a negative fact when he said that now Jungkook was an “American superstar“, and before he was just a “superstar”. Fans felt that these producers’ statement took away Jungkook’s overall success and status as a South Korean star, as they only emphasized on his American success and not that of Korea. Another point for which they received a lot of criticism is that the two producers emphasized on the work they had done behind this song.
Fans of the band did not see good way the interview that made the two producers, taking into account that they were trying to deprive the singer of his South Korean nationality, and also felt they needed to claim their work as producers, leaving behind the work of the Maknae as singer and making offensive comments.
It’s like they need to claim everything as theirs, anything amazing ‘oh we’ll have that’ like he’s some sort of object. He is NOT American and never will be🤦🏻♀️ https://t.co/T5F5m8fzce

jungkook is not american he is korean, this is such an insult to think that being american is more important and better than him being a korean superstar. i’m so sick of the US always looking down on us, jungkook is and will be bigger than american artists as a KOREAN https://t.co/bhY96YwvCs
