Royal ceremonies always have moments and protocols that must be followed, even if there are many people who don’t understand why, everything must have some kind of meaning in the crown, but, despite that, there are things that monarchs still refuse to do. Prince William steadfastly refuses to wear skirts.
The British crown has a great connection with the Celtic country, this since time immemorial, therefore, the Scottish traditions of the guard will always be present in the obligations of the British royal family, but apparently this means nothing to Prince William, who has always refused to wear the iconic Scottish dress, is his masculinity very fragile, as the most daring fans of the royals claim, or is it simply a taste that does not end up convincing him.
The Prince of Wales has never explained why he refuses to wear one of these skirts, in fact he has never been seen wearing one, even when he was just a teenager. His younger brother, Prince Harry, seems to have little enthusiasm for it as well, and for some it is unacceptable the fact that the princes have never worn one of these skirts, which are basically a symbol of the culture of the United Kingdom.
Recall that recently King Charles III and Queen Camilla Parker, were similarly crowned as kings of Scotland, where they could be seen actively surrounded by people. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also seen at the celebration, although the prince did not wear a skirt, he was seen happy with his family.
