The well-known series ‘Friends‘ is a sitcom that has been present in all generations since its premiere in 1994, which lasted for 10 seasons where it captivated millions of fans with its memorable and iconic moments until it ended in 2004.
The hit series featured the story of a group of friends named Monica Geller, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Ross Geller and Rachel Green, who live in New York City. ‘Friends’ was made to represent the journey between the good and bad times among themselves.
All of its seasons were a total success that kept many hooked to the screen episode after episode until its finale which garnered an audience of 52.5 million viewers around the world.
However, before this successful series ended, there was another comedy whose finale completely dethroned ‘Friends’ and to the delight of many is currently presented on the Netflix platform. It is ‘Seinfeld‘, a series that premiered in 1989 and ended in May 1998, leaving behind 9 fabulous seasons that brought together the adventures of four friends named Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer.
‘Seinfeld’ was in charge of showing Jerry’s life and his relationships with his friends in New York City. This left the 1994 sitcom so much in ruins that when it ended it left the streets of several cities in the United States almost empty, because no one wanted to miss the final episode of this series, making it the most watched episode in the history of television with 76 million viewers.
