For lovers of the Westeros universe, the series ‘House of the Dragon‘ has caused a great impact to all its fans and HBO workers, since its premiere in August 2022, the series has reached some numbers similar to those of the last seasons of the iconic ‘Game Of Thrones‘, being this an important step after all the doubts about launching other series immersed in this universe.
Recently in an interview conducted by Vulture to the CEO of HBO and Max, Casey Bloys, talked about the great moment that ‘House of the Dragon’ is living and the very positive impact it is having on the franchise.
Currently ‘House of the Dragon’ has reached 29 million views per episode in the United States, being these numbers similar to those of the penultimate season of ‘Game Of Thrones’.
Bloys also announced that the use of young actors and having equality between men and women was a success, as this attracted new followers and subscribers to HBO, so that they would not stop watching ‘House of the Dragon’.
Likewise, since HBO decided not to place this series as exclusive content for HBO Max, this made viewers increase, since they could watch each chapter from their TV sets at home, reaching higher numbers than those of ‘Game of Thrones’.
Although ‘House of Dragon’ was a dubious experiment on the part of HBO, the great prequel became one of the most watched, that with the release and waiting for the release of its second season, most likely it can surpass all the numbers and records led by ‘Game of Thrones’.
