The rapper Ludacris got off to a bad start to the week. His car was stolen while he was doing a quick stop at an Atlanta ATM.
Atlanta police reported that the rapper called them around 4:40 p.m. local time on Monday, January 25. The rapper told authorities that he stopped at an ATM and left his car with the keys inside.
This turned out to be a fatal mistake, as it will get the thief easy access to the “2 Fast 2 Furious” actor’s black Mercedes-Benz. The “Found You” interpreter admitted to the police that he only heard his car speed up behind him and did not see the face of the culprit. However, officers were able to electronically trace the car to a location in northwest Atlanta.
Police found property belonging to Ludacris at the address, but the car had been taken elsewhere. Investigators continued to track the car until they found it in a parking lot in Midtown. The Benz was completely empty when it was returned to the rapper.
The police do not wait for the place where Ludacris’s car is stolen. Additionally, no arrests or persons have been reported . Atlanta authorities say 99 cars were stolen in the first week of January. Like Ludacris, most of these cars were left running with the keys inside.
