That has left the king with very deep and sensitive emotions, and he demonstrated it when he broke into tears because of some words that his oldest son, Prince William, said to him.
According to the entertainment magazine ‘Mirror‘, at the time King Charles III ascended to the throne to assume his position as the head of state, many of his previous duties and obligations as Prince of Wales had been attributed to his older son, Prince William, including the not less importantly, the supervision of Charles’s Duchy of Cornwall.
It is already known that the massive property is very important to King Charles, who ruled with a great affection and dedication over 50 years, increasing the worth of the Duchy to £1 billion. Now, King Charles III has confessed that a William’s words from the documentary ‘Prince Charles: Inside the Duchy of Cornwall’ made him burst into tears because he was so touched.
On the video, that has already become viral amongst royal fans, we can notice how Prince William has a conversation about private property owned by the British Crown. “I’m beginning to think about the way I will inherit the Duchy eventually and what I’m going to do with it. I think it’s very important, the family aspect, I really do” William said.
After hearing him talk like that, King Charles said, “When I first heard it, I couldn’t believe it. I was very touched by it. Frankly, it made me cry. It really did. Because I thought, well, hearing that from him has made the last 50 years worth it.” Confirming how touched these words left him.
