A few hours ago it became known that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, had to undergo surgery due to a serious cancer that was diagnosed, and which put the health of the Duchess at imminent risk.
A spokesman close to the Duchess has confirmed that Sarah, 63 years old, had had to undergo almost emergency surgery and start treatment in order to safeguard her health.
In statements broadcast by the British television channel Sky News, a spokesman for Prince Andrew‘s ex-wife assured that the duchess was diagnosed with breast cancer, in one of the routine examinations that she carried out. Fortunately for Sarah Ferguson, she was diagnosed when the cancer was at an early stage, possible to operate.
For which she was quickly operated on, according to what the source said: “She was recommended to undergo prompt surgery, and she has done so successfully“. In the same way, it was explained that: “The Duchess is now receiving the necessary medical care and her doctors have told her that the prognosis is good, so she is recovering with her family“.
