To many people, she is Princess Diana’s true successor so people were not surprised when she betrayed Queen Camilla by paying homage to the late princess in front of her.
Everything happened at the Trooping the Colour parade, which was celebrated on June 17, to commemorate King Charles III’s first official birthday as the new sovereign of the United Kingdom. During the event, people were quick to notice that Kate paid homage to Princess Diana regardless of Camilla’s presence.
The Princess of Wales was seen wearing a luxurious and elegant outfit along with a pair of earrings that she inherited from Princess Diana. In British royalty, wearing jewelry from a royal that has passed away is usually considered a direct homage to their legacy and a way to keep their memory alive.
On top of that, Kate Middleton spent a large part of the event with Queen Camilla so the photos of them together immediately went viral. According to the online community, Kate’s decision to wear Diana’s earrings in front of Camilla is clearly an act of betrayal as it is well-known that the two ladies had a feud back in the day due to King Charles III’s infidelity.
