Gal Gadot is currently back in the spotlight after sending Margot Robbie a message in regards to the ‘Barbie’ movie which will open in theaters all around the world on July 20. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that, at one point, Gadot was considered for playing the main character of Barbie but Robbie got the part instead.
After the movie was greenlit at Warner Bros. Pictures, the producers wanted to find an actress who could bring Barbie to life and capture all her essence and, unsurprisingly, Gal Gadot was one of their top choices after the acclaimed ‘Wonder Woman’ movie. However, the Israeli actress rejected the offer because she had a tight agenda at the time since she was working on several projects.
Last week, Gal Gadot was in Brazil as part of Netflix’s Tudum Festival. The event is held every year to give fans a sneak peek of the new content that is coming to the streaming platform. During her appearance, she was interviewed by ET News where she expressed her opinion in regards to Margot Robbie playing Barbie instead of her: “Margot, I love you! I’ll do anything with you, I’ll be [in] anything with you!”
Although many fans believed that Gadot could have been mad for losing an opportunity like this, she made sure to let the world know that she loves Robbie a lot and nothing will ever change that. Due to her comments, now everyone is hoping that these two amazing actresses will appear together in a movie in the future.
