In the middle of an interview with ComicBook.com, the young actress talked about this movie, questioning its future, doubting if the saga will be cancelled.
Letitia Wright was asked if she would know when and where Shuri would return to the big screen, to which she replied that she has no idea what will happen with her character, since Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed a third Black Panther movie.
The actress also expressed to Variety magazine: “It was a fantastic two years putting out Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in honor of Chadwick, and I’m thankful that everyone came together to support this project, I think we currently need a little break and then regroup, which will take a while”.
