Due to Queen Letizia of Spain’s quick action when a woman fell in front of her while she was going to collect an award, Spanish royals have recently become a hot topic of conversation. Royal fans have praised the quick action that the wife of King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia of Spain, had, where she hurried to help the woman.
On June 30th, Queen Letizia attended the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day celebration hosted by the Spanish Red Cross at Madrid’s Circulo de las Bellas Artes cultural complex. When one of the woman who had achieved distinction experienced a mishap while the monarch was in charge of awarding the gold medals during the competition, the Queen of Spain did not let the woman’s moment of honor be marred and hurried to lend a hand.
The media organization El Español recorded the photographs of Queen Letizia’s rapid response and posted them on social media. The woman can be seen stumbling a few times as she makes her way to the podium to accept her gold award. It was there that Queen Letizia’s fast thinking and empathic response was demonstrated, inspiring appreciation on social media.
María de los Ángeles García Antón, a representative on the board of the Spanish association of geriatrics and gerontology, was the woman in question. After a brief wobble, she swiftly go to her feet to be recognized by Queen Letizia, who also offered her some words of encouragement.
