Prince William caught the media and the royal followers’ attention because he allegedly refused to bow down to Queen Camilla during the Coronation Concert. After the footage was posted online, a body language expert analyzed the possible reasons why William did not want to pay homage to Camilla.
On May 7, just one day after King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation, the members of the royal family and the British people gathered outside Buckingham Palace to enjoy a concert aimed at the younger generations to increase their support for the new monarchy.
However, Prince William’s attitude and actions stood out because he did something completely unexpected. Just when King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived at the event, the Prince of Wales did not bow down to the queen, breaking a very important royal protocol.
Body language exported Judi James revealed in an interview with Express UK that several royal protocols establish that the members of the royal family must bow down to their superiors but William decided to ignore them:
“Prince William followed his gut instinct and potentially subconsciously sided with his late mum Diana by failing to bow to Queen Camilla during the Coronation. Would William have felt comfortable bowing to the woman who took the place of his mother on the throne of the UK?”
Although some people are criticizing his attitude, others think that is very admirable that William still thinks about her mother after all these years and respects her legacy.
