Prince Andrew disobeys King Charles III’s orders and won’t be moving out to a cheaper royal residence

Prince Andrew continues to be a controversial figure due to the several sexual abuse accusations against him which resulted in him being forced to give up on his royal title in 2021. Despite this, it looks like he is currently giving King Charles III a lot of trouble because he does not want to follow his orders.

According to The Telegraph, Andrew refused to budge from Royal Lodge until the contract he signed in 2003 expires. He is been living there with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and two corgis that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, near Windsor Castle.

A few months ago, Charles himself asked him to move from Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage so he could keep a low profile away from the spotlight. It is important to remember that Frogmore Cottage used to be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s residency but they were evicted from it because they gave up on their royal titles in 2020.

Royal Lodge was given to Prince Andrew by Queen Elizabeth II herself so that might be the reason why he is so hesitant about moving to a new house. On top of that, this is where he has been hiding after he was accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old teenager.
