Prince Andrew attended King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation which took place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. The event will definitely continue to be the most important royal event of the decade as a ceremony like this had not been celebrated since the late Queen Elizabeth II was crowned 70 years ago.
Although the ceremony was a success, royal experts believe that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew’s attendance at the coronation could be harmful to the royal family’s image. However, Charles might have already taken the matter into his own hands to earn the general public’s support once again.
According to the Daily Mail, King Charles III reduced Prince Andrew’s annual allowance of $309,755 which he started to receive under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. On top of that, he was allowed to live in the Royal Lodge with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. However, Charles reportedly wants him to move.
Prince Andrew was offered to live in Frogmore Cottage, which is smaller, instead. The house used to be the residency of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who were evicted from it after their constant critics of the royal family. In addition, Prince William and Kate Middleton would become the new residents of the Royal Lodge.
A close source to Andrew revealed that he felt let down and betrayed by his own brother. As a result, he is refusing to budge from the property and it’s causing Charles a lot of trouble.
