Less than a week before the big event, Queen consort Camilla Parker has revealed the dress that the King’s wife will wear. Camilla Parker is already planning every aspect of King Charles III’s coronation, and she has always wanted to remove “consort” from her title.
Although not many details of the exquisite clothing that the future queen will wear will be made public, social media have already revealed the priceless robe that she will don on the momentous day, according to Caras, the queen consort’s outfit will be designed by renowned royal designer Bruce Oldfield.
The red wine-colored velvet robe will be adorned with excellent gems, along with delicate gold stitching and embroidery. Of course, the robe will also bear the King Charles III insignia and the crown’s floral motifs. The clothing item will have needlework in the shape of various insects and flowers that are representative of the UK’s flora and fauna, as well as a planting of King Charles’ environmental philosophy.
The Royal School of Needlework, which has the privilege of creating the robes the monarchs will wear on Coronation Day, acknowledged their great excitement and effort. We are really happy to have the opportunity to make the coronation robes including the one to Camilla Parker.
The queen consort may don the Maria Von Teck, the grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II, crown, in contrast to Kate Middleton, who might not wear a tiara but instead wear flowers in her hair to honor King Charles III and his belief in preserving the environment.
