Prince Harry’s attendance at King Charles III’s coronation ceremony was a rollercoaster. In the beginning, everyone was expecting him to not be invited for all the controversies he is been involved in. Despite this, Buckingham Palace shocked everyone and confirmed his attendance a few weeks ago.
In the last few months, Harry has been at the center of several controversies due to his declarations against the royal in his memoir, Spare. In the book, he detailed several negative encounters with the royal family which led to a lot of scandals and clashes with his family. However, it looks like he is trying to reconcile with them.
The Duke of Sussex might use the coronation ceremony as an opportunity to get closer to his family and that could be the reason why he decided to attend the event on his own as Meghan Markle is going to stay in the United States to celebrate Prince Archie’s birthday.
On the contrary, Esther Krauke, writer and broadcaster for Sky News Australia, believes that Harry will be treated like everyone else and won’t receive any kind of special treatment so the chances of reconciliation are low. “It’s clear that it’s a very quick trip in and out [for Prince Harry] – and that’s very telling about where … the Sussexes’ role is within the Royal Family.”
Although Prince Harry’s relationship with his family is still tense, some royal followers are hopeful that the event will serve as a bridge between the two parties so they can make amends and be a complete family again.
