Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI’s marriage is at stake after multiple rumors of a possible separation surfaced online. Despite the evidence of an existing divorce settlement agreement, there has not been any official statement from the royal Spanish couple that addresses the matter.
The Queen and King of Spain reappeared together with their children, Leonor and Sofía to attend the celebration of La Pasión de Chinchón, a traditional ceremony that takes place outside of Madrid on Holy Saturday. The family surprised everyone as they seemed to be happy together despite the rumors of their imminent divorce.
According to some local media, they have not spoken to each other for months and are only attending these events by protocol and to fulfill their royal duties. It is said that Letizia does not trust Felipe and wants him gone from her life as soon as possible.
Queen Letizia reportedly had a heated confrontation with King Felipe VI about Princess Leonor’s future and formation. She does not agree with the fact that Leonor has to prepare for 3 years in the military. However, Felipe wants to send her there in order to make her strong for when she eventually becomes the Queen of Spain.
