Due to Lisa apparently holding a mark that BTS will not be able to surpass, the well-known group BLACKPINK once again defeated BTS.
Even though Lisa, the lead singer of BLACKPINK, released her first solo album in 2021, she has since had a successful music career and is a major force in the Kpop industry, making history on music platforms all over the globe.
Being the first solo K-pop artist to have two songs with more than 300 million Spotify plays, Lisa has currently set a record that will be difficult to top. Her first international hit, “MONEY,” has surpassed 663 million streams, and “LA LISA,” another of her greatest hits, has recently surpassed 300 million streams.
Everyone has been surprised by this accomplishment because it is highly unlikely for a solo artist to pull it off. The rapper and vocalist has shown incredible musical stability over the years on Spotify, elevating the caliber and stature of South Korean and Thai Kpop on a global scale.
On the other hand, since the 26-year-old artist has long been the standard for the Kpop music genre, it will be very challenging for the entire BTS group or any of its members performing solo to surpass her and achieve the same accomplishments and successes that Lisa is currently enjoying.
