Prince Harry arrived in the United Kingdom a couple of days ago to represent himself in court in the case against the Daily Mail. According to someone that was in the hearings, a set of documents that was presented as evidence revealed that the Duke of Sussex only works for one hour a week and it is enough for him to earn a million dollars a year.
Harry and other celebrities such as Elton John joined forces against Associated Newspaper Ltd., which is the Daily Mail and Mail On Sunday’s publisher, for allegedly hacking their phones and violating their privacy to get controversial information and publish it.
Earlier this week, the defense presented some documents where it was stated that the Duke of Sussex embezzled the funds and resources of his organization, the Archewell Foundation.
According to the Daily Mail, the Archewell foundation received a total amount of $13,005,660 in donations. The surprising part is the foundation only had three donors: 10 million dollars came from one of them, 3 million dollars from another, and 4 thousand dollars from the last one. The remainder balance came from an investment income.
However, this was not the only detail that caught the attention of the public. The report also revealed that Harry only works one hour a week in the company and has earned up to one million dollars a year. This raised some questions about where the funds of the foundation are going.
Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday are dismantling Archewell’s finances in order to uncover the truth about where the donations are coming from and what’s being done with the money. Some legal experts see this as a clear counterattack to Prince Harry in order to damage his reputation before a verdict is reached.
