The former Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué’s production firm, Kosmos, has lost yet another significant contract as Austrian tennis player Thiem distances himself from the Catalan-run organization. Karma is punishing Shakira’s ex-husband financially, which is where it hurts the most.
His company is still suffering from the effects of his split from Shakira. For Piqué’s business Kosmos, who suddenly sees how an important tennis personality they used to represent, dissolves all their financial links, this is yet another extremely harsh and terrible blow.
Thiem, a significant tennis player on the rise, has chosen to part ways with Kosmos and seek the counsel of his elder brother. The causes? Uncertainty, the same thing the company has experienced since the Catalan broke up with the Colombian musician and all the investors in his company started to leave him.
Let’s not forget that Shakira was instrumental in convincing a number of contractors to sign a contract with Kosmos. They felt secure because of her image and status, but when her breakup with the former Barcelona FC star was revealed, everything fell apart.
Piqué’s demeanor and character demonstrate that he was considerably more concerned with his company than the mother of his two children. The Davis Cup contract breach came first, and this latest snub puts Kosmos on the verge of a cliff from which it will be unable to escape.
Kosmos will file for bankruptcy later this year if they keep losing contracts at the same rate. Many believe it to be the Spanish man’s true retribution for cheating on Shakira. Others refer to it as the price he must pay for his awful attitude.
