Princess Diana has been one of the most beloved members of the royal family in history, even now more than 20 years after her death, and much of her intimate life is about to be revealed, as handwritten letters written by herself will be auctioned, in which she tells everything she was going through during her divorce with the current King Charles III.
The intimate life of Princess Diana will be revealed thanks to 32 letters she wrote to her close ones between 1995 and 1996, in which she tells in detail about the pain, fear and regret she was going through the legal divorce she was going through with Charles III. The letters will be auctioned this month.
The auction house holding the letters said:
Susie and Tarek feel overly privileged to have had the opportunity to know Princess Diana up close. Throughout their friendship, the Kassems were always amazed at the incredible affection Diana had for anyone she came into contact with, whether on the street, in the theater, restaurant or anywhere else.
In the letters, Princess Diana shared how she felt while planning the divorce with Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son, which she came close to regretting, but not because of the love she felt for Charles, but because of the bad times she had to go through in the process.
In one of the letters she said:
If I had known a year ago what I would experience going through this divorce, I would never have consented to it. It is getting ugly and desperate.
It is known that the current owners of the letters plan to donate the proceeds to various philanthropic causes that Princess Diana promoted during her lifetime to keep her legacy alive.
It is completely unknown who might be interested in acquiring the cards and the price they would be willing to pay, although it is suspected that among the most interested could be one of her children.
