As announced earlier in the year, Kpop group BTS will have to do the military service in a span of 3 years, and they will come back together as soon as all of them have finished their work in the military. Every male born in South Korea must fulfill this duty, however, it looks like one of them will be able to skip it.
Their managing agency, BigHit Music, who also happens to be the owners of the BTS trademark and all other legal rights, announced that there was one member that was not going to do the military service as the rest of the members.
Jin, the older of the seven members is currently in the middle of the enlistment process and has just left. We have a regarding how he was seen very sad when his hair was cut off in the militia.
As informed by BigHit, Suga, out of all seven members, will be the one who will pay public service instead of time in the military service, surprising all of their fans. This is not due to favoritism or anything of the sort, but rather because of a medical condition that Suga suffers from.
Turns out that he will have to undergo a surgery that will involve his shoulder muscles and makes him unable to provide force in the military, so he’ll pay with public service instead, which is most often done in an office.
With the announcement of the agency, it was also made clear that Suga also felt that it was important to recover mentally before doing his service so he can retake his career in better shape in two years.
