PSY reveals how he got BTS’ suga more involved in his comeback

It has been announced that K-pop veteran PSY will be releasing his next album soon and the producer of the title track is none other than SUGA from BTS. As the world awaits another hit from the 44-year-old musician, he has found a host of talented musicians to collaborate with.

Speaking of their most anticipated collaboration, the artists were inventive. While PSY wants to be someone that his (younger) hoobaes feel comfortable talking to, SUGA was concerned about the age difference. Their meeting, however, went off without a hitch, as the two admitted to feeling like friends.

According to an interview, SUGA never expected things to go this far. He said:

To be honest, I haven’t had the chance to get that close to the people I’ve collaborated with. I’m not usually one to suggest that we meet in person to work. But (PSY) insisted on asking me to come see him. During work, we had many comings and goings. Seriously, I didn’t expect to dance with PSY. Ah… I thought he was just writing the song…

At first we met because I heard from him that he wanted to produce for me. Then he ended up being on the track. Then he ended up learning intense choreography. Then he ended up starring in the music video. Step by step, he got deeper and deeper involved. Our Yoon-gi (sneaky laugh)” PSY added.

A day after the reveal, a poster featuring animated versions of the two was released, raising anticipation for the collaboration titled “That That“.

He also confirmed that SUGA would be appearing on the song and not just producing it. The second preview of the song, which will be released on April 29th, promises another hit at the hands of PSY and SUGA.
