“Spiderman: No Way Home” has become one of the most successful films in history since its theatrical release less than a month ago, and the reason for that is obvious: the appearance of the spiderverse between Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
And now it has been revealed that there was a final scene between Andrew and Tobey that was eliminated. This scene was to be the final scene of the film, but it was discarded.
The actors took part in the third act of the film, but there were fleeting ideas to expand their roles. In fact, not only did they want them in the plot, but there were plans to have them in some post-credits scene.
Writers Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna in an interview with Variety revealed that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appeared alongside Tom Holland to take on the villains of their universes. But the idea of his comeback was also thought for an exclusive scene after the credits.

Speaking to Variety about all the twists and turns of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” screenwriters Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna admitted that they considered including the two actors in the film’s post-credits.
“We even said, ‘Oh, we could make a [post-credits] label out of this one! We could make a label out of that!” McKenna said. Sommers added: “Can we do a TV show with the two of us traveling in a van solving mysteries?“
