The SMTOWN concert was full of surprises from tens of idols, from veterans to rookies. However, SHINee’s Taemin’s absence was the elephant in the room, and the idol himself had to address why he didn’t participate in any of the activities.
The SMTOWN LIVE in Seoul concert took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome on January 11 and January 12. The concert celebrated the company’s 30th anniversary and had many familiar faces joining the lineup, offering a unique experience to all of the fans.
SHINee fans were disappointed that they weren’t able to see all the members together, and Taemin wanted to clear the air in his latest statement on Bubble. The idol explained he is currently negotiating with the company and it took longer than he expected.
“Did you sleep well? The weather is cold, so wear warm clothes, keep your neck warm, and drink something hot since the cold is going around. I’m writing this for the fans who might be worried about SHINee. I’m sorry I couldn’t participate in SHINee during the SMTOWN concert. I wanted to finish negotiating with the company and join SHINee activities quickly, but it seems like it will take some time to get things sorted out. But we are making progress, and it seems like it will end soon.”
