King Charles III is “deeply saddened” after UK victim of New Orleans attack was named

King Charles III’s reign has been marked by his constant awareness of tragic incidents around the world. The King always finds the right words to bring comfort to the victims and their families, and the latest New Orleans attack wasn’t the exception to the rule.

The 2025 New Orleans truck attack which happened on New Year’s Day brought Edward Pettifer to a tragic death. Pettifer was the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy Pettifer, which brought sadness to the Royal Family.

King Charles III was reportedly deeply saddened and had been in touch with the family to share his condolences. The UK’s Press Association news agency unveiled the information after police disclosed the identity of Edward Pettifer.

The Pettifer family also shared a heartfelt statement explaining how devastated they were after the tragic news. They stated he was a wonderful brother, grandson, nephew, and friend to many and his death left them completely shocked.
