BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars made a buzz inside the American market with their smash song, “APT.” The song was the ultimate attempt of Rosé to venture into the United States with her unique voice and sound, and all of her efforts paid off.
Only a few Kpop songs have ruled the American market, including the classic PSY’s “Gangnam Style.” However, Rosé is currently solidifying her status in the country and already broke the 12-year-old record held by PSY.
On December 23 KST, Billboard reported that “APT” landed at No.9 on the Billboard Pop Airplay chart, which makes Rosé’s song the highest-charting song by a Kpop soloist in chart history.
There’s no doubt that “APT” is going to stay for a while inside of the Billboard charts. Despite the holiday season already beginning, “APT” still stands strong and probably will continue its reign during 2025.
