On December 17, 2024, Billboard revealed their interview with K-pop queen IU, and guess what? She spilled! As one of South Korea’s shining soloists, it would only make sense for her to cross musical borders, and she’s not shy about it anymore. After a chart-topping year and a successful tour, IU is setting her eye on collaborations with global artists.
IU talks about the possibility of collaborating with global artists:
“In the past, I received many amazing offers, but the idea of collaborating with artists who spoke different languages felt daunting. I turned down those opportunities then, but I don’t feel the same way… pic.twitter.com/jNmeXR58RQ

“In the past, I received many amazing offers, but the idea of collaborating with artists who spoke different languages felt daunting. I turned down those opportunities then, but I don’t feel the same way anymore. Now, I’m much more open to the idea of working with global artists,” she revealed.

With a massive hit thanks to “Love Wins All” and a gigantic tour that visited cities in Japan, Europe, and North America, IU established herself as a record-breaking act. For example, her shows at Manila’s Philippine Arena made her the first Korean artist to headline at the venue. To conclude the tour, she held two concerts on September 21 and 22 at Seoul World Cup Stadium, becoming the first female artist to perform in that venue.
And just like that IU spills the tea! Who do you want to see her collaborating with?
