Global girl group member from VCHA, KG, has sued JYP Entertainment. The singer revealed a series of accusations that expose severe mistreatment, ranging from forced diets to physical and mental abuse that pushed some members to self-harm and attempts to unalive themselves.
According to the lawsuit, KG and her bandmates were subjected to grueling conditions, including surveillance cameras installed to obsessively monitor their eating habits, ensuring they stuck to a diet regime. In addition, she unveiled physical abuse from JYP after being denied water for not getting a dance move right. After trying to get execute it well, she tore one of her shoulders.

Moreover, she expressed that these conditions provoked one of the group members to want to end her life by consuming pills, a situation the company allegedly ignored. In addition, she talked about how she and the members were verbally abused, recalling how a dance instructor called her a “bad dancer,” which made another girl group member break down.
As the situation unfolds, JYP Entertainment said they have not yet received an official lawsuit. However, KG herself announced that she would leave the group and would continue to pursue music differently, outside the K-Pop influence.
